After graduating from the Culinary Institute of America and Cornell University, I pivoted from hospitality to marketing.My first marketing role involved building a brand identity and managing social media for a startup. Then, as an Executive Assistant to NC State Auditor, I honed my social media skills by working with the Public Information Officer. Since 2021, I've collaborated with numerous law firms, addressing various aspects of their digital media requirements, spanning podcasting, social media management, and video editing.
In crafting tailored social media strategies, I closely align with client objectives to create impactful content across platforms like LinkedIn, TikTok, and Facebook. Through compelling and informative posts, I aim to elevate brand visibility and attract potential clients, driving sustained growth and engagement.Additionally, my expertise lies in managing full-service podcast production, where I prioritize enhancing engagement and fostering member connectivity. I refine audio and video elements, ensuring optimal quality, appropriate episode length, and the elimination of any unwanted noise or errors, resulting in heightened audience engagement and overall satisfaction.Leveraging AI-powered audio and video editing software, I execute seamless post-production mixing and editing. The North Carolina Office of the State AuditorI had the privilege of working with the North Carolina Office of the State Auditor from 2021-2023, taking charge of their social media presence across platforms like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube. Our mission? To raise brand awareness about the agency and highlight the value of its mission to the citizens of North Carolina.Crafting compelling copy was key, as we aimed to capture the essence of the office's mission, vision, and values. We wanted to strike a balance between professionalism and engagement, infusing the content with fun facts, updates on the Auditor's state-wide appearances, and exciting new audit releases and office publications.Given the office's nature, maintaining an exceptionally professional tone was imperative. We understood the importance of upholding the integrity and credibility of the State Auditor while ensuring our message resonated with the diverse audience we aimed to reach.When it came to the website, we faced the challenge of heavy legalese and complex language. Our goal was to distill the dense information into laymen's terms, making the content accessible and relatable to the average person. We wanted to humanize the Auditor, showcasing her relatability and approachability through the power of words.

Crossover Meats
I had the pleasure of working with the innovative folks at Crossover Meats from 2020 to 2021, a groundbreaking food technology startup. They had an exciting mission: to introduce a new line of ground meat that was not only incredibly tasty but also more environmentally friendly. The copy was filled with fun, educational content and some seriously mouthwatering images!
To strike the perfect balance between playful and informative, we crafted captions that would make you smile while also teaching you a thing or two about the positive environmental impact of their products.Considering that the product wasn't publicly available just yet, we strategically limited our postings to create anticipation without overwhelming our audience. The goal was to create awareness about the future availability of this game-changing meat while keeping our followers engaged and excited.Our collaboration didn't stop at social media. I also had the opportunity to lend my writing skills to the company's website, where I dished out a healthy serving of educational content, entertaining blog posts, and detailed product information. It was all about crafting a cohesive brand experience and providing valuable insights to those who visited the site.
